    The 2026 gem squash crop is looking good and we are busy bringing them in ready to box and send. The hot dry summer has meant that the skins are harder than usual.

    Well known in southern Africa, we grow gem squash in the UK for you to order for home delivery all around the UK by DHL or DX.

    If you happen to live near Salisbury and Shaftesbury come along to The Veg Shed at the farm, or drop by on market days.

  • This is the twelfth year of growing a superb variety of gem squash from South Africa, which produces an excellent crop of delicious gems with hard, dark green skins.

    ​

    Our favourite way to cook gems is to cut them in half and bake for 20 minutes face down, then scoop out the pips and add a little butter. Or you can boil whole for a similar length of time (remember to pierce them first!)
